Hi, I am Gabby — mum of two, accountant by day, and entrepreneur by night.

Boly is the by-product of things that happened when my babies were little that just didn’t sit right with me. They were moments that made me think there had to be a better way.

I love coffee and can barely survive without one. I also love getting out and exploring the world with the kids. And when I say exploring the world, I mean the new toys at the local café, the beach and the sea creatures in the rocks, and the many playgrounds around our local area. But I did find that sometimes I would put it off, especially when formula feeding became our normal. I could give you a long list of bizarre things I was doing during that time and, to be honest, most of the time I would end up racing home anyway because the formula water had cooled before my babies were ready for their feed.

I remember once taking my toddler and baby to an ice cream shop. Baby was no more than two months old. I wanted it to be so exciting for my toddler, as his world had just changed a lot. I got caught out and baby’s formula water had gone cool, and she needed a feed. I asked the shop assistant for some boiling water to top up her bottle and make it warm enough. I am not joking when I say he brought it out filled to the absolute brim in a thin, flimsy plastic cup and sat it on the table next to my young son. Now, my son was excited — we were getting ice cream — and by no means was he sitting there nice and quiet. I had to ask the shop assistant to take it back, and I left and raced home. This is just one example of why I knew I wanted to create something compact and suitable for these scenarios.

Boly’s mission is to create products that help the modern-day parent get out of the house confidently, without the overwhelm. Without the overwhelm before leaving the house, and without the overwhelm while out, knowing they are equipped with everything they will need.
